This piece shows a young black boy trying to hide. The boy does not want to be wrongfully convicted or falsely accused, therefore he hides his first line of identity: his face. The multiple characters symbolize different emotions that he is experiencing. Throughout all of this internal and external trauma, there is still growth represented by puzzle pieces.
